This microwave popcorn popper met my needs perfectly. We’ve had the full size version for years. Great to have a portion control option.I'm one person and this makes perfect amount for me and it's quick and easyThis is just the right size for the amount of popcorn for one. The popcorn comes out light and fluffy. You may have to play around to find the right length of time for popping, depending on your microwave, but once you do - just yum!Received these microwave pop corn bowls from a friend. And am delighted with them. They are easy to use and just the right size for one serving.I love it and my friends who received this as a gift loved them too!I am not having much luck getting this popcorn popper to work. I followed the instructions, using 1 Tbsp popcorn and 1 Tbsp oil but the corn will not pop.Single serving size for occasional use. Easy to store.I had no idea whether to get an electric popcorn maker or a microwaveable one. After much research and deliberation I got this one and so glad I did. I am the only person that it’s popcorn so got the small one. I don’t put oil in mine, pull the bowl up and put 4 teaspoons of kernels in, pop lid on loosely and microwave, I had a couple of goes to get it right and my microwave does perfect popcorn in 2 minutes. Hardly any unpopped corn and lovely popcorn. Zero mess and easy to clean. So glad I got itHaving used the standard Lekue with complete success in my flatbed/inverter microwave since Dec 2015, I thought I’d give the mini a go only to find it a complete waste of money. Doesn’t even start popping until after 2 minutes. Even after 4 minutes (obviously by which time it’s starting to burn), not even half of the kernels are popped. At some point I’ll try it in someone else’s revolving microwave and if it’s successful I’ll update my review.I hate the chemicals of microwave popcorn. But the air poppers were all yielding such tough kernels that it just wasn’t pleasant.I worried about the comments about an odour or taste but I certainly haven’t had any issues. I have a teeny little microwave so I got the 2 small bowls instead of the full size one.Bought the Kelkin popcorn that I thought was terrible before in the air popper. It’s light and fluffy with a bit of crunch, just perfect. It wasn’t the corn, it was the method.I’m so happy with this purchase. Take a chance on this one :)Suggested use is only to fill the bottom of the holder and play around with the cooking times, I found that it still does not cook all the kernels but once you figure out the cooking times you can make batches/servings as required, less fuss than cooking on the hob.I followed the instructions to the letter, with oil and without, awful burnt and upopped corn , got extremely hot even the plate under it was roasting, good quality corn used very dangerous.
