Great giftMy kids love donuts and we are on a healthy lifestyle so we make our own recipes. This worked excellent but only downfall. It’s not easy cleaning them after words without getting water everywhere or on places you don’t want to on the machine itself. I like cleaning things proper, I don’t like that I can only use a wet rag- bec u can not clean soap out of it if you get it in there.Bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas, she loved it! We made doughnuts together, easy to use, she’s 9 and had no problem doing it with very little supervision. We used a cake mix, and a cake decorator bag (it was almost like a bottle with tip on the end) to fill the cooker. Easy. Great bonding experience!Yummy and so easy to make! This was the best machine for lowest price. I was surprised it was not shipped double boxed, but it was not broken. We were so excited when it arrived that we made several donut batches. We used the recipe provided in the booklet and it tasted just good. Even more delicious recipe was one box chocolate cake mix, added 1 stick melted butter, one egg, and 1 c milk. You can use any flavor cake mix. Next time we will make Spice and vanilla cake mix. Then decorate with basic flavored confection glaze, sprinkles, nuts. For a limited mess, we used a disposable plastic pastry bag with a rubber band tied on top and cut the bottom end. Then just squeezed the mixture into each cavity. If you use a spoon to fill it I think it would take too long and be messy. You could also use an empty squeeze bottle of some sort. Before squeezing we first spray the cavities lightly with cooking spray. We filled up to the top and they rose into perfect donuts. The light on unit was NOT a good gauge to tell when done, so when the donuts started steaming and smelling amazing, we opened the lid and removed. You can insert a toothpick if needed. We set up a decorating station for the grandbabies to decorate and they had a blast. The adults gobbled them up so fast. Perfect size. It was also easy to wipe clean when cooled.This has to be hands-down one of the best purchases I have ever made. I was so afraid the donuts would stick, or burn but they did NOT. This comes with a little book of instructions that includes some recipes, but I used cake mix. (1 box of cake mix: add 1 egg, 1 cup of water, and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil. It’s THAT simple!) Once hot & ready to use, I filled a piping bag with batter to make the donuts. Do NOT attempt to use a spoon to make these: it will get very messy. I used non-stick spray as well, that is very important. I timed the donuts to take exactly 2 minutes to cook, and not a single one was burned! After letting them cool on a cooling rack, I dipped these cuties in chocolate and topped with sprinkles. I recommend this to everyone who loves to bake tasty treats in a fun way. Oh, and lastly, make sure you use an oven mitt or small dish rag to open and close the donut maker. As it gets EXTREMELY hot and you can easily get burned. I thought the red light would go out once the machine was ready and the green light would come on. Then after you filled the machine the red light would come on and when the donuts were ready the green light would come on again. All the time the red light is one and you have to watch very closely to see when the green light comes on to notify you that the donuts are ready. I am referring to the 12 piece induction set. First, the two largest glass lids do NOT fit in the frying pans. They sink down into the pans and will be sitting in the contents of your food. Try to understand that because many people are saying that they fit, unless they are referring to different sets or they purchased it at a much earlier date. I purchased mine and received it in August 2020, for reference. Also, the largest glass lid while seated inside the Dutch oven moves around and slides around, making a clunking sound because the seal is nowhere near snug. Then, when things steam and get wet, the lid just slides around. It also takes forever to boil water in these things for some reason, and a 30-year-old Farberware stainless steel pot seems to let water boil in half the time, And that's even a warped rocking pot with the bottom that barely touches 50% of the induction cooktop! I am so disappointed with this set, I feel ripped off and gypped. And now I see it's 27% off, a few weeks after I purchased it, so they must know something is wrong with this set that I paid nearly a couple hundred dollars for. I wouldn't even pay $20 for it. Additionally, I almost bought the three frypan set from T-Fal in a different listing that is listed as induction pans, and every single person who purchased it says it does not work on induction burners. I dread to think how close I came to being burned twice. My induction burner is the number one rated Amazon Duxtop, and I asdumed they would work until someone said they had the same cooktop I did and they didn't work. If it doesn't work on that, it is not an induction set! I wish I never laid eyes on this set and I'm pretty sure it's because I know where it was made. Never again with T-Fal! How they can let their quality over the years slip like this because of being sent to foreign countries to be manufactured so poorly. it's just apalling. My next set will be made in the USA and it will certainly not be T-Fal.Muy bueno para hacer donas en la casa. Es un producto muy comercial no profesional. Pero si funciona muy bien. Las donas salen algo parecidas al tamaño de las donitas glaseadas Bimbo (Las pequeñas).Funciona bien, las donas quedan de buen tamaño se pueden cocinar varias en poco tiempo y es fácil de usar. El problema son las recetas que incluye, no son buenas y como sugerencia hay que voltear las dones para una cocción perfectael aparato calienta muy bien y muy rapido las donitas, ideal por si tienes fiestas de pequeños y viene con 4 recetas para hacer masa de donas y un glaceado (aunque esta ultima no viene en español, solo en ingles y frances)(ojo! las donas si son muy pequeñitas casi del tamaño de una dona bimbo mini)El diseño es malo, no es hermético, las donas no se cocinan parejo (cocidas por abajo y crudas por arriba). Tienes que jugar mucho con la proporción de los ingredientes para que la masa pueda esponjarse y salir simetrica. De 50 donas realizadas, ninguna salió decente.
