It is a beautiful lilac color, the material is soft to the touch and the fit is just as advertised. The sleeves are long enough and I actually fold them up into a slight cuff. It washes and dries (warm and low heat) great with very little shrinkage.I bought this robe to cover up on our hot southern mornings. It is very light weight, which I like and a very pretty dark purple. The fit:. I am 5'7" and weigh 190 I bought a size XL. The arms are a tiny bit too long for me, the length of the robe itself hits nicely mid calf. The only problem with the fit ( for me) is although there is plenty of room in the chest, the waist feels a bit small. After I ordered it I noticed it was described as a a " men's" robe, even though the model in the picture was a woman. The robe fits more like a men's robe, even though it is very purple .I am convinced this robe is made for SpongeBob SquarePants only--large up top, but too narrow at the bottom to adequately cover your nether region because it hangs open at the legs. I have read reviews like this about this kind of robe so I purposely bought a 2XL, the largest size they have available here. The color of the robe is beautiful (like a deep cranberry) and it is also soft to the touch, which is nice, but whoever designed the pattern for the robe should really start all over, because the cut is so strange. The arms are huge--as in I could fit both of my arms in one sleeve with room to spare, but then there is the gaping area at the bottom. This robe would be perfect if there was just a little more fabric below the belt so that it closes and covers one's legs....and such. If I hadn't bought the largest size (which is really too big for me) and had purchased the size I would normally purchase, this robe wouldn't have covered even one leg.I am keeping it, though, , despite the disproportionate cut, because I do still like it, it does fit (only b/c I got the 2XL) and at this price it isn't worth returning.Color is not as shown on site. More of a blue rather than turquoise.I've been searching for a cotton spa robe like this to replace my terrycloth robe which is always too heavy/warm for use in my warmer climate. After reading all the reviews, I settled on this one. After several months of use, I have to say that it's one of my more successful clothing purchases on Amazon. This robe is warm without being too heavy and cumbersome. I purchased mine in white and I have never had a problem removing stains (usually coffee) from it with a normal washing. It didn't shrink in the wash using a normal warm water wash and light drying cycle. The only negative for me is that the sleeves are longer than my wrists so I have to roll them up. I'm tall and have long arms to go with my height and I still had to roll them, so I would imagine it's going to be the same for others with 'normal' length arms. I can live with the rolled-up sleeves given all the other great qualities of this robe.It should have inner small belts to hold the inside together before putting it on. The sleeve are too longis just OK. I and too wide. i.e. they get in your coffee and food and have to be rolled up. Actually, it;s a bit too warm for Florida weather.
