Not many people wear long underwear in Florida but I know someone who does because they are always cold. The long underwear was a birthday gift and the receiver was thrilled. These are polyester thermals. Not cotton. The advertisement is misleading. I wear a 36 inch waist and the medium size was snug on me. I like the fit of thermals to be tight though. The polyester fabric on these is really thin so they are not good for deep freezing temperatures. They help warm my legs down to temps in the 30s, but below freezing I think you need thicker thermals from somewhere else to stay warm.Soft and cozy fits well.I bought several pairs of these for my husband and teenage grandson. They wanted thermal underwear to wear under loser pants at work/school for the winter as well as snow shoveling. These are perfect. They are not tight fitting and actually are a little loose which is exactly what they wanted. My grandson wears sweatpants to school and didn't want tight fitting thermals that would cause his sweatpants to adhere to and my husband wears khakis and wanted a looser fit as well. Both say how soft the material is so there isn't any scratching. They both say that there isn't any binding or having their underpants (briefs or boxers) bunch up which is nice. I wash them in warm/cool and dry on delicate so the shrinkage was less than 8-10%. They keep their shape and both say they are comfortable to wear. As for warmth, they take the edge off the cold and damp weather. The thermals definitely keep them warmer than nothing under their clothing but these are not heavyweight for below zero. Both say they do not sweat indoors with them on so they aren't over warm. They are very happy with these thermals. The cuffs at the bottoms are nice too so they don't hang out under their pants. So I was looking for an alternative to replace my thing H&M inner that I used to wear with my office pants in winter. So I have 3 variety of base layer when it comes to Minnesota winter. one for 20-40F range, one for 0-20F and other one for below 0.This would be my 20-40F range base layer. What were my expectations:-- Should be thin enough to go with work pants.- Should work for 20-40F temp range.- Shouldn't be expensive- Should have moisture wicking, have elastic and should be stretchable. These serve all the above purpose. I got 2 for $19 so it comes out to be a great deal, I ordered from amazon because I have prime so it gets to me faster. Some things to considerThe temperature range would differ from person.I am 5'7, 145 lbs athletic build who wears 30x30 jeans and I got small which fit me perfectly. These aren't tight fit like my other winter sporting activity inner but I didn't want these to be like that.Only one real downside is when it gets a little warmer then it my body hair sometimes gets pulled to it which is annoying. This happens usually when I walk back home in spring and there is body heat due to walking and temps right now are like 50-60F in afternoon. This didn't happen when it is 40F.I understand the material might not be super durable so I do not use it when doing any sport activity. I will post more since I only had it for 2 month and I rotate the pair that I got.**If you found this review helpful please press the button below this review (It really helps me).**Just what I expected but they are just a little long and they don't not shrink much at all.I have purchased five or six pairs of these Fruit of the Loom thermal long underwear for my boyfriend over the past several years. He's a contractor and works outside even when it's freezing cold out. I don't know how he does it, honestly. I'm a baby about the cold. He seems to like them, and hasn't complained that they a) don't keep him warm enough, or b) make him sweat his butt off. So I guess the midweight is the way to go.The thermals are well made, he wears them pretty much every day in the winter, so they get washed very frequently and have held up just fine. No fraying or wear holes from the numerous washings. He's super hard on clothing, all of his work clothes get destroyed, but these have been ok. I guess they aren't subject to as much abuse as his jeans are, but the knees and backside are still intact and the cuffs have not started unravelling. The sizing and thickness are just right- not bulky underneath his jeans, but roomy enough that he is comfortable moving around, bending, squatting, etc. I get him Mediums and he wears a 31x32 pants and has pretty large and muscular thighs so they're a bit more snug around his thighs, but material is kind of stretchy so it's not too tight. The legs are long enough to reach his ankles, and the rise is high enough that he doesn't flash a plumber crack when he bends over. The cuffs are thin and flat enough that they don't feel weird with work boots. These thermals are comfortable (and modest) enough that sometimes he'll get home from work, take off his work jeans and just lounge around in these, without looking like he's wearing a pair of my leggings, lol. I don't know if the white ones would be as modest, but the black and gray ones are fine. One can never have too many thermals when working out in the cold, so I'll continue to buy them for his lame-but-useful stocking stuffers. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to let me know below :)Really weird baggy crotch area... like.. you can fit a bag of chips in there. I don't even mean a tube of pringles. I'm talking about a full on, unopened, full of air, bag of chips, in the crotch area. Why?! Length is right. Waist is right. Thickness is right. Crotch is weird AF.They're okay but definitely a bad thread quality and not stretchy at all. The second time I wore the one pair the leg ripped just from my foot going into it and my feet are an average size 10. The 2nd pair ripped in a similar way my 5 or 6th time wearing it. I threw out the one because of the bad rip and the other one still okay but I avoid wearing and just keep it as a backup if I don't clean my other pairs in time. I expected way more from FOTL as other things I've bought from them lasted fine. In this case it is worth spending more on something better.Je n’ai qu’un seul sous vêtements dans le colis ... sur l’item lorsqu’on l’achète , il est noté que c’est un lot de 2 sous vêtements? We live in a world where returning a 10 dollar item just isn't worth the hassle, but somehow writing a review is all we have left. From a company as big as Fruit of the Loom (warren buffet) and Amazon (bezos), do you really think you can make a difference? The advertisement SAID 60 percent COTTON and what i got was 35% cotton and 65 percent POLYESTER. btw, Did you do know, that over time, the washing of polyester creates micro fibers that seep into our water, then our fish and we can't filter it because it's too small? We are eating plastic. Thanks Dupont, the company that invented C9 which is in your blood now. great.je porte ces pantalons thermique depuis des années,ils sont excellent pour notre climat au quebec avec des hivers tres froid,le confort est impeccable, oui je les recommandes surtout a ce prix,c est un tres bon achat
