Ok!! I see that there’s a mixed bag reviews here and I can see why.First off - may be the instruction needs to be revised. Here’s what worked for me to get a kneaded dough after a few trials. Add 1/3 water instead of 1/2 it recommends. After couple of minutes of dough hook turning if it doesn’t roll up into a single lump dough add few drops of water until it does so. Also you need knead it a bit longer than recommended times to get a half way decent outcome.Second thing I want to add is that - don’t do more than 2 cups of flour at a time - this device can’t handle it with that flimsy plastic douch hook and the whimpy motor they’ve got. And taking about dough hook instead plastic they should have made it out of cast aluminum like the motor shaft and locking ring they have.I am giving two stars because they could have tested their product better to give proper instructions and because they should have used a half way decent components. Why not 1 star ?? because it did somehow in the end make a dough as it claimed - granted after some major trial and error and wasted dough.I am not sure about the durability - as I read here that dough hook breaks apart after some use.I will leave another review here after a reasonably prolonged use.IF you have nerve damage to your arm and hand muscles, this will be worth the investment. I love corn tortillas. This makes dough that my hands and arms no longer can, and I'm tired of paying up to 25 cents per premade tortilla. the ones pressed out at home and heated in a cast iron pan or even a nonstick skillet are MUCH tastier, fluffier, chewier and just as thin as the "very thin" brand. They just puff up in layers as cooked. They come off the skillet crispy, but soften gently in the towel in the tortillero (warming container) after cooking. This mixer makes that possible. If you make tortillas for a lot of people, and your arms and hands are causing you pain in a lot of functions in life, this is a worth the cost little tool. Easy to clean up, too. This is my first review ever.1. Package came in great condition.2. I used it ONCE yet. It did OUTSTANDING JOB to make DOUGH to make CHAPATIS (TORTILLAS). I wish I knew about this before. I wish they can make some machine to MAKE CHAPATIS TOO.I have wasted lot of money in the past on many dough makers of popular American brands but, all were either too hard to clean or use. They were not worth my time!I TOLD ALL OF MY FRIENDS ABOUT THIS. I have a huge social circle.LOVE IT .... LOVE .... LOVE IT.I hope it will last me long time.PoorA total dud. I turned on the paddle to mix my yeast and milk and then manually turned it off. It never worked again. My husband took it apart and tried to figure out what went wrong. I told him I forced the switch (which is a timer switch) off. He said it made no difference. He bypassed the switch and the motor didn't work. A total waste of money. My own fault, I read the reviews and I took the risk anyway.Does the job of kneading but quality of product is not great. The dough kneading in the machine pushes the lid off, the timer doesn't work properly.I am SO pleased with this dough kneader/mixer! My hands just can't knead well enough and this gets the job done spectacularly in just 5 minutes. I've been making a variety of pitas with a variety of flours. I remain with the beater/kneader though while it is running. I am so relieved that making pita now takes such little effort! It's awesome, It work just like i was expecting. I use this for Atta(roti) dough, I sprayed oil before putting atta into bowl, for 1 cup of atta, I use half cup of water and little bit oil and within 5 minute atta dough was ready. It is light weight therefore it is easy to wash and no noise at all..
