I was worried about the low stars reviews for this solo pop maker unit, until I noticed (under comment section of review) the seller offering to replace a unit not even purchased from them! This gadget works great & looks adorable. You must follow the directions, letting unit freeze for min 24 hours, and inserting sticks BEFORE filling w/ juice etc. This method prevents you from over filling unit thus making pops hard to remove.I've experimented so far w/ almond milk, diluted greek yogurt, reg yogurt, tangerine juice w/ great success. I did have trouble removing a pop that had too much bourbon vanilla extract because of the alcohol content. Too much fat, sugar or alcohol will take longer to freeze or prevent pops from freezing at all. It's really helpful to look at the zoku blog to get a handle on what ratio of ingredients work the best.Highly recommended with the caveat of, unless you live solo, upgrade to the 2 or 3 pop maker that way no one has to wait!I think we're going to break down & buy the freezer storage case & extra sticks so we can have some on hand as summer heats up.Very minor cons---the plastic stick is large, as an adult I feel a little goofy holding it, and the pops themselves are small. I find putting this unit back in the freezer after filled yields a pop in 7 mins, on the counter it's more like 12.After reading mixed reviews over the Zoku Single Quick Pop Maker, I was torn on whether or not to buy it. However, my two-year old nephew is obsessed with popsicles at the moment and I thought this would be the perfect alternative to the sugar filled ones he is currently eating. The quick pop maker, however is not as quick as I would like. After reading the instructions, I followed them exactly: I froze the maker for 24 hours and chilled my non sugary juice as recommended. The pop maker took close to 20 minutes to solidly freeze, quite a bit longer than the 7-9 minutes the instructions gave as the typical wait time. After using a couple of times, I pulled it out of the freezer and stored it. The pop maker just takes a bit to long for my impatient little two year old. I have found all natural popsicles and I will to continue to give him those instead.I really like this a lot... however I wish I had known that you are not supposed to use sugar free or items with artificial sweeteners in it before I purchased it. I am also having a hard time finding additional sticks to make additional Popsicles. Other than that is great. This thing is cute, and I have enjoyed this very much. One thing that upsets me is that There is no way to store this thing if you let it sit to defrost and then store it in a cabinet for winter and take it back out for summer it may not work, if you leave it in the freezer it will leak things out of it and you have to throw it out! This thing is fun. I think I've regressed to kiddie land when I use it. I've animated the thing and talk to it when it pops one out so to speak. "Thank you HAL- Are you ready to go back into the freezer? ok lets go". Took a try or two or three to get to the point where I poured contents in correctly. Identified when it was ready. And used the tool to twist it out. But the last two in row were correct. Between the ZOKU and the freezer containers I'm ready for summer. Healthy great tasting stuff.Love this thing for a quick healthy treat for my two year old. He gets a popsicle and I get to know what I'm giving him. There is a learning curve for use abd takes some time to figure out how to do it right.Doesn't work well with sugar free substances, coconut milk, or yogurt. Using these items in your recipe almost 75% of the time means your popsicle will not come out of the mold. The whole reason I bought it was to not have sugary popsicles in my house.I have a Vitamix and it works PERFECT together. Make smoothies, turn them into pops. YUM. VERY easy to clean, if something gets stuck, just let it sit out til it melts. rinse it out and stick it back in the freezer for 24hrs, then your ready to go. If you want just to treat yourself at the end of the day with pop, I'd get this one. If you have kids or are a party guru, i'd get the one that makes multiple pops at once.I love it. Made some delicious strawberry yogurt pops/ice lollies after leaving it in the freezer for 24 hours. I used fresh strawberries, plain yogurt and sugar in a blender. They worked really well, didn't stick and came out easily. I made three and the last one took longer. I've now ordered some extra sticks on Amazon prime and they'll arrive tomorrow so I plan to make a few for the weekend. I've stored the ones I've made in small plastic bags in the freezer and it works well. As soon as one was eaten later in the day, I immediately made another with the spare stick and it froze fine. I would really recommend it so far. I have the single one. I think a family would need a bigger one if you have the space in your freezer.NaNice looking Pop Maker. Do what it's designed for.For 1-2 persons max, it takes time 5-15 min for juice to freeze. If you have children, it's better to consider purchase of 2-3 slot maker and have fun!Nice design, bright and colorful.
