I bought this dressing gown for my elderly mother who has difficulty (due to arthritus) dressing in a tie-up gown or doing up fiddly buttons, the full zip is great and means the gown stays closed at all times keeping her warm. I cannot comment on the fit as of yet due to it being a Christmas present but looking at it the gown definitely looks true to size. The fabric is extremely plush and soft and is much better quality than other gowns I have been looking at, the colour is lovely, I am sure this will keep her cosy throughout Winter. The zip is a very substantial metal one and having tested it the zip goes up and down with no problem. The only slight issue I had is that due to the gown being so thick and new, when you first slide the zip together you have to push aside some of the fabric pile to connect the bottom two pieces, but once done the zip works perfectly. I am sure with time and use this will become easier to do. The gown looks well made and hangs well, it is only calf length and is ideal for someone who you worry could trip up over a longer version. I have tried all my local well known stores but could not get a zipped gown anywhere so I was so pleased to have bought this, especially now on receiving it I can see that it looks and feels so soft and thick exactly as the sellers description states. If you want a warm, thick and well made dressing gown with zip, look no further.
