Since it came with two pieces, I used one on my mandolin and another on a little project I was working on. The strap button doesn't come with it.So far it's held up very well. The black hasn't chipped or anything. On my project, I accidentally sanded part of it down and went through the black layer, but it took a lot of work to manage to do that.I have a Rogue RM100A and the top two screw holes don't line up with the ones already drilled into the instrument. I just put a screw through bottom and another through the center where I put the strap button to keep it in place.
