Used to hold the rope seal on my wood stove when I install the new door seal, better then the other stuff that comes with the rope seals imo which seems to harden up the rope , this stuff work so much better.. I also use it on exhaust sleeve clamps on my VW exhaust system. Many other auto related uses as well, gasket maker etc.
