Ice MakerWas very easy to install, less than five mins and 24 hours or so later it is working its tail off keeping my ice bucket full and has not missed a beat. Product initially looked cheap and flimsy until I took the original out, and it is a carbon copy of the original. It does not come with instructions, but all you need to do(for the Kenmore model) is unscrew the phillips screw from the top of the freezer compartment which is literally what is holding the whole device in and then remove old one and replace. The wiring is a simple connection. Saved over $50 from the sears site. My original had a broken "feeler bar". So far, I would highly recommend this products. It has been installed over a month and is working like a charm. So easy, remove and replace. Works wonderfullyBought this to replace my 3 year old Kenmore (LG is the same unit) as it quit dumping ice due to ice trey deforming. Water would poor out when being filled and then it would freeze up and block and ice being made. One single screw and small electrical plug was all that was needed to swap in the new unit. Took about 5 minutes including moving food from the front of the ice maker. This unit works perfectly and my ice bin is now always full. Will buy again in about 3 years as my research online shows thats about the life of this type of ice maker. Maybe this one will last longer, time will tell.I am THRILLED that this part is so inexpensive & even more thrilled that this non-handy, 48 year old woman was able to replace this ice maker with no instructions in about 2-3 minutes! Wow! After installation, I pushed the little button that cycles the ice maker, then boom, water auto-filled the ice tray and my ice maker was as good as new! I'm so excited that I posted my victory on FB! Anyway, don't hesitate to but this part. Oh & I received it in 2 days and this was by far the least expensive seller anywhere. The ice maker was very easy to install.Product looked OK. Replaced an old one. This was the exact fit for our ice maker that had quit working.
