Note that this is a good product that matches most any whirlpool ice makers. This unit has a cable that plugs into it but that can be easily removed to accommodate the cable that is already inside your ice compartment, if you are doing a replacement then just use your original cable. Now, if you have a cable with a fuse link and that fuse burned out then you will need to use the new cable and or ask for a compatible one from the supplier. Note that this unit comes with the single water inlet solenoid so if you have both an ice maker and a water dispenser you will need to purchase a separate dual solenoid. if you have not replaced one of these units take care when removing the old one, and keep the parts from the old hose connections intact as well as the quick connect small parts that go up to the ice maker and or water dispenser.
