My old Mr coffee ice tea maker finally broke after about 10 years. I didn't expect to find a replacement. So happy to find this one. Only problem I have is that the lid isn't as tight as the older model. If you fill your cup (or 30 oz mug which I have) the top will real off making a real mess. Solution. Either hold the lid when pouring your tea, or the easiest is to take it off.Very easy to use. Clean up is very easy Also it was much cheaper than some of the other models. You can make as much as you want glass or a pitcher also strong or not so strongI love sweet but only made it every now and then. Since I received my tea maker I make it a couple times a week. So easy to use! Plus I use decaf tea bags so I can drink it at night without it keeping me awake! I also have cut way down on the amount of sugar I used to use in my tea. So happy with my purchase!I bought a replacement for an older model that worked well for me for about 25 years. I accidentally broke the pitcher and found that you can't easily find a replacement. My older model came with two pitchers but sadly, that second one is long gone. I decided to spring for a new one instead.Compared to my older model, all the parts seem to be lighter. Hopefully, that doesn't mean flimsier. The new one works just the same as the older one, so I'm pleased. It's quicker and less messy than trying to make tea on your stove top.Not a big problem for me but it may be for some people; this arrived at my house in the display box, without a shipping box. There was not any damage but everyone in the neighborhood could tell what I bought. If this was a gift, I might have been pretty sore about it.We received our first Mr. Coffee tea maker as a wedding present in 1995. Since then, we’ve replaced it four times, not because they break but because we literally use them to death. Every pitcher of tea is perfect, every time. It’s fail proof. We love it so much I buy one for every wedding we attend. And that’s a LOT of weddings because my husband is a preacher!my only wish is that the new models would incorporate the lever in the brew basket of the older models. This lever allowed one to “hold” the tea in the basket as it steeped, making for a deeper and more flavorful pitcher of tea. Alas, companies are always looking for ways to cut back for increased profit. Mr. Coffee made a mistake by cutting out the brew basket lever. Bring it back, please! The little rubber stopper in my old one is almost gone. ☹️It does what is advertised but my only complaint is that it is hard to see he fill line. So on occasion I have overfill the maker which causes it to leak until the water is dispensed.So easy to use and so easy to clean. Makes great tasting Iced Tea. I do think that it doesn't make quite as much tea as the old Mr. Coffee Ice Tea Maker seemed to make more. The old tea maker lasted me a week (I have one big glass in the evening, year around, as I don't like soda pop). And the new model doesn't last me quite that long. The old model had maybe a serving more? But over the years, I have broke TWO glass pitchers. Just a little tap on my Stainless Steel kitchen sink while washing, and a hunk of glass drops out of the old glass model pitcher. The plastic picture never breaks and is lighter to lift when iced tea and ice cubes fill the pitcher after making the tea. I REALLY LIKE THIS MR. COFFEE TEA MAKER A LOT!!! I'd buy again!!I love how easy it is to make great tea. You can use bags or loose leaf. There's one button to push (no complications). I put the pitcher, lid and brew basket in the dishwasher for clean up. The size of the pitcher is just right for the refrigerator. It isn't too bulky or heavy, but still holds plenty of tea.This contraption of a brewing tea system does the job nicely and conveniently but there’s one major flaw in the system is that it’s incapable of extracting a complete brewing of the teabags. The manual recommends of putting 6-8 teabags, and so I put the maximum number of teabags which is 8 in the filter basket. To my disappointment, the amount water of didn’t completely brew or extract the flavor from all 8 teabags. So I ended up transferring the remaining teabags into the pot on the stove to extract more flavor from it. The result was it still has plenty of brewing left as the tea was quite dark. Next time, I will put 4 instead of 8 teabags as I will lay them flat to fill up the entire filter basket instead of stacking on top on one of the other which is a major reason why it didn’t get a full brewing.Parcel arrived in great condition and on time. First time buying an ice tea maker, the price of the Mr Coffee is reasonable and it makes a great pitcher of sweet/ iced tea. I highly recommend.Dans le fond , ce n'est qu'une théière. Vous n'avez qu'a vous faire du thé à la maison dans une bonne vieille tasse et vous mettre quelques glaçons et ça ferait le même travail. Design mal fait ; pendant le processus , si la cruche bouge , il peut y avoir des dégâts car il n'y a rien pour la retenir. Le plastique est très cassant , mal conçu. C'est un retour pour moi , perte d'argent car il faut payer le retour. Je regrette.This is my second Mr. Coffee Iced tea maker! So easy to use. As I’m storing tea in fridge, I don’t add ice to the jug, just water and some sugar for sweet tea. When it’s finished brewing, I fill the jug with water and refrigerate! I find two of the family sized bags is just right for us and once the pot shuts off, I usually let the bags steep a little longer.The design has changed a bit but the ice tea maker reminds me of my grandma who had a Mr. Coffee iced tea maker in the 80's or maybe early 90's, but anyhow I bought it mostly for nostalgia along with sometimes wanting to make ice tea quickly in the winter when its too cold out to use the sun. I have used it a couple times now and it works great, the water is very hot, brews quickly. No complaints at all.
