I have an older Kirkland by Whirlpool refrigerator that originally came from Costco. Last week the ice maker stopped working. A quick youtube search showed that this part was the likely culprit and the price on this part was so good it was worth a shot. The module was ridiculously easy to install, and today I have ice. Just a tip, if you find that the slotted plastic rod is stuck in an inconvenient position and will not turn freely, remove the full unit and thaw it so you can freely rotate it to orient it into the module. This piece should not be difficult to rotate. The part also arrived super quick. I ordered it on Sunday and it arrived Wednesday, which is not what I was expecting from a non-prime, USPS delivery. This part fixed the problem with the ice maker.Have a 10 year old fridge bought at the local Sears scratch & dent outlet store (never did find a scratch or dent). Ice maker stopped working. Sears guy came out and was about to repair but fridge had no model number on it. He said he was prohibited from fixing without it. Then he said it was this part that was needed ,and if I ordered it myself it would cost a lot less then him doing it anyway. He even showed me where it goes and fact it was 3 simple screws to remove the existing and the new would pop right back in. He said it would take 5 minutes. He knew the model number by heart and said he often replaces them. To top that he didn't even charge me the $35 fee for him to come out! What a great guy!! Got the part and it took LESS then 5 minutes. Working perfectly!Item was delivered in only a few days. Item is NOT a genuine Whirlpool part despite any information to the contrary. Item did work as it was supposed to and was making ice in just a few hours. No installation issues or component match-up problems. This is the second time in two years that I am replacing the ice maker module with a knock-off item. The original Whirlpool / Admiral ice maker module lasted almost 15 years. I have had this new part in operation for about 2 months with no issues whatsoever.Exact replacement for my Kenmore. The heater contact was melted on the old one. For this price it wasn't worth trying to fix the old one. I can't comment on longevity since it was just installed, but it is working fine so far. Made in Mexico if you were wondering.I would highly recommend this product, it's definitely a good value for the money. It was an easy install with very little effort. I was able to correct my problem with this motor module and if you are having issues with your ice maker, this is the place to buy the module.Great product and seller. Shipped quickly, arrived when predicted. Bought this to replace the broken module in my Jenn-Air freezer ice maker which was S 106 626640. When it arrived, I popped the old one out and plugged this in and it has been working perfectly.Highly recommend.Perfect fit and still working
