I was initially disappointed when I finally receive my Conquest artificial deer foot grilling spatula (I call it the SuperFoot) this week. It was WAY too thick to flip burgers and the toes make the whole cooking experience awkward. That's when I realized it wasn't the product's fault, I was using it wrong. So here is what I found. The huge deer toes are great for smacking around in the dirt under a friend's stand to make him think there is a monster deer hanging around. Also fun for kids to make deer footprints in playdough or their mashed potatoes at dinner. The sides have a smooth blade and a serrated blade. These will work in a pinch on some things but does not cut tomatoes or bread very well at all. Just smushes them and makes a mess.I tried the claw end as a backscratcher and it's very effective. TOO effective actually. The ER doctor (Dr. Bucky Foote, M.D. I swear I'm not not making this up) told me to just use a leaf rake or barbed wire or anything less dangerous in the future. Twenty-six stitches later, as I was leaving the ER a wild hobo ran up and tried to rob me in the dark parking lot. Thinking quickly I swung the Conquest SuperFoot and hit him right in the forehead. This INSTANTLY stopped the threat and left a large deer track on the attacker's face. Back inside, the ER doctor (Dr. Foote) could not believe how well it work for self defense. The hobo was out COLD! He also could not believe he had now treated two different people with wounds from the SuperFoot in the same night. Now I keep it in the door pocket of my truck because it is an excellent self defense tool. Any wild hobos coming for me will be branded for life with that giant deer footprint on the face.Edit: Apparently it was intended for making realistic deer scrapes. Watch the video, it's really cool and works great for this purpose also.
