This sandwich maker is good. It heats things evenly and is easy to clean...This ORFELD Sandwich Maker is simple to use and makes a good sandwich. It's easy to clean up, too, by wiping or removing the plates to wash.The waffle plates disappointed us. They made small thin waffles and took an excessively long time to cook. There were no instructions included for waffles with the machine. We did not try anything else yet, but the device does not seem to get really hot.We had a fantastic panini maker for many years. When it broke, we chose this to replace it. It's not the same quality.This is very easy to use and clean. My children (teenagers) use it all the time now. They make everything from waffles to paninis to hot, pressed sandwiches. It’s another contraption that has inspired my childrens’ independence and creativity. I get to try all the new recipes!!I know this is advertised as a sandwich maker but it also came with waffle plates to interchange. I was very disappointed with this maker when making waffles. It has indicator lights but no temperature control. I had to leave the batter for the waffles in the maker for at least 4-5 minutes to make sure the waffles were cooked.
