PRO:Makes good tea and costs less than Bodum Assam.CON:Tea basket cannot be disassembled making it very awkward to clean. It looks and feels more like aluminum so if it is stainless steel, it is of a very low grade. The basket doesn't trap all the leaves so there's debris in the tea. The carafe is made of such thin glass that I'm always afraid it will crack when pouring hot water into it. Made in China.Going back to the Bodum which has none of the above problems. You get what you pay for.In a family with one or two tea drinkers this fits the need/ sturdy strong and makes great tea! Reliable seller packed well for shipping and it is not made cheaply. I would buy another for a gift for tea drinker!It works great the only thing is you can not keep the part that hold the tea out of the water. So you cant let it sit for too long. Also the holes in the part that holds the tea are too big so some of the smaller parts of the tea will get into the waterNot big issues but an overall great product
