I like coffee made with a french press/cafetiere. I also like to drink coffee from a mug not a cup. A proper coffee mug is larger and so a larger french press is needed. I've learned over time that I need a 24 - 27 oz french press. A 32 oz (1 litre) is two large and a 20 oz is too small. I keep browsing Amazon to find the right size and one day I cam upon this one. It's the right size, looked good and was the right price. Perfect. Right?For making coffee this is just what it says it is. It's a french press coffee maker. It's larger size allows for two coffee mugs of coffee and might stretch to 3. It's easy to sue and makes good coffee if you follow the right technique. So, why did I give it a 2-star (**) review. It has a serious problem that can't be resolved. You can't clean it properly.I use my coffee maker frequently. I've used them for 30+ years. This is the first one I've had that can't be dis-assembled to clean the filters. The the filter assembly is fixed. The back plate is plastic (not stainless steel) and the shaft is covered by a plastic cone that can't be removed. The filter assembly should be easily disaasembled to clean the individual filters. Eventually coffee grinds will block the filters. There aren't many ways to mess up a french press but Mind Reader seems to have invented a new one. There are even complaints about it on their own website.This isn't the only example of cost cutting. The glass pot itself has a concave base and one that isn't flat at the edge. The glass jar then wobbles on a flat surface. The molded handle also shows sign of molding flash which means the molding process was of low quality.As I said, there aren't many ways to mess up a french press. There's no need for obvious cost cutting, poor glass ware, badly finished handle and uncleanable filters. It looks to me as if all the money was spent on the design of the handle but everything else was skimped on. It makes coffee and, for me, it's the right size but unless you have a strong desire for a french press this size you really should look elsewhere.The filter doesn’t reach the bottom so I can’t squeeze out the last bit of flavor out of my tea or coffee but that’s my only complaint all around good productIf you love herbal teas like me this is for you .. and it’s the perfect personal sizeI leasy to clean.love it ,but it's easy to clean up.So far I cannot find a way to dismantle the filter mesh for cleaning. Doesn't look as if it possible to do so. Also, the carafe is glued to the plastic so it cannot be removed either. The glue is beginning to bleed out onto the glass after cleaning and doesn't look very nice.I broke my bodum french press which is about the same size, so I bought this as a replacement considering it's $10 cheaper. I found that you can't separate the filter and stem to clean it without breaking the plastic endcap holding it on. So, I removed the stem and replaced it with bodums stem and filter, and it works like a charm. I guess to sum it up, if you broke your bodums glass, this will work as a much cheaper replacement. :)Daughter loves her coffee press. Great productWas okay would have been better if the lid would close fully! It was a bit loose.. didn't get to use it long enough cos my husband dropped it and it smashed lol ??? MIGHT get another one to replace it. Wasn't too bad for 10bucksPrensa francesa em si é algo bem simples, por consequencia geralmente barato. O máximo que você vê em prensas mais "premium" são pequenas mudanças de qualidade de vida, mas o básico não muda. A menos que ela seja bem porcaria, o que não é o caso dessa, nem de longe.Material bem resistente, o filtro eficiente (não deixa passar nem um grãozinho) e super fácil de limpar.Excelente pra quem quer começar e não gastar muito, mas também não pegar algo porcaria.Única coisa é que a prensa quando completamente apertada, não chega até o fim do copo. Isso faz sentido, pois você não deveria prensar o café embaixo (ironicamente), mas ela para muito cedo, quando se faz quantidades muito pequenas fica muito longe e não segura o café embaixo muito bem, mas isso não influencia muito, o filtro ainda vai segurar o café.Produto veio bem embalado e preservado, comprei pensando que seria da pequena, mas essa é grande, serve 4 pessoas tranquilamente. Achei bom porque ao servir na xícara segura bem o pó do café na parte interna, assim você tem um café limpinhos.Coloquei 4 estrelas no quesito limpeza porque a parte interna com o aramado não desmonta, então você lava tudo junto mas não deixa resíduo.O vidro parece ser resistente e de espessura razoável, não é frágil como outras na mesma faixa de preço.É uma peça com formato e capacidade ideal. A mola que sustenta o filtro começou a escapar já no primeiro uso, mas consegui colocar de volta e não saiu mais. O ponto forte da peça é o material do becker, que é bem resistente. No geral, a peça parece que irá durar bastante.Me gusta el buen café y estuve buscando una prensa francesa que me convenciera hasta que me topé con este producto.En cuanto me llego lo probé para prepararme mi café y me llego súper rápido e intacto el producto, es fácil de limpiar y de usar.Definitivamente lo volvería a comprar.
