Like good coffeGot this for guests visiting - they drink espresso. It works as described, no issues. I’d have given it five stars, but the gasket doesn’t fit properly and falls out (and the screen follows it) every single time it’s used. It looks to me like the gasket is too thick for the space it’s designed to fill. This has created leakage (read: burnt coffee) while it’s in use. And to even screw the top part on is challenging because the gasket and screen fall out as soon as the top is upright.I have several similar stovetop coffee makers and have never had this problem before with any of them.I would have returned it but it’s a hassle for me to do so and it wasn’t a huge loss. I do use it occasionally but it’s always a bit of a struggle.We owned this coffee pot for about 6 months before the handle just snapped off. The design of the coffee maker works well but disappointed about how cheap the handle was. Also, if for some reason your coffee doesn’t flow up, do not open it! There is so much pressure built up, it could explode. Camped with it, then used it at home to make a strong, good cup of coffee. One too many times I forgot it on the stove, so it started to burn a bit in the bottom part. I figured it would be good to replace it. This one appears to be stainless steel but somehow feels lighter and made of cheaper material. Fine, whatever. The part I don't like is that the rubber seal that is supposed to hold the metal filter in place does not do that. So the moment you try to screw the top part onto the bottom (where the water goes) the filter falls out. If you manage to quickly do that without it falling out, it may not seal properly, because it moves around. Granted, this is not an expensive item but my old one was even cheaper and served well all these years. Sending this one back would probably cost me more so I will likely, after I am frustrated enough with it, donate it to a second hand store and look around for something else.It says 6 cup it should say 6 expresso cups. It’s so small and the metal inside rubs off when u wash it can’t imagine what it’s leaving inside the coffeeI've been looking for an affordable coffee maker for kayaking and camping trips. It makes a great cup of coffee as strong or weak as you want depending how much grinds you use. I use mine as a single cup coffee brewer and not an espresso maker. It's the perfect size for a single cup of coffee. I didn't want to spend a lot on one because I knew it would get banged around and didn't want to break something that was expensive. I can tell you this thing is tough. I screw it all together throw it I my pack and hit the trail. Mine has been on 4 trips with me so far and still as good as new. Well except it's not as shiny as before because i use it on open fires mostly. I've also used it on a portable camp stove and my glass range at home. I haven't had a single issue with the handle like some of the other reviewers. It's like any other cooking vessel with plastic handles on an open fire just be sure to keep to much heat away from the handle. I've got a few strange looks from other hikers because it doesn't look like your standard camp fire coffee brewer. But once they smelled it brewing and tasted it they see why I use it. I would and have recommend this to others whether it's for home or outdoor use.
