Review Mixtape magnate Tony Touch earned a stellar turntable rep from loads of tapes crammed with freestyles and exclusives. His sequel to 2000's triumphant Piece Maker has plenty of unreleased fireballs from rap heavyweights, but doesn't deliver enough off-the-dome rhymes. While many of the 17 tunes are ferociously head-nodding, they don't involve much of Touch. The RZA-helmed "Rock Steady" makes folks yearn for a Wu reunion, as the lo-fi sounds evoke feelings of their landmark rookie effort with Meth, Raekwon and U-God ripping inspired verses. "Out Da Box" is another gem with crispy Pete Rock drum loops. Among tracks that Touch produced is Sean Paul's monotonous "Ay Ay Ay" and the lackluster "Spanish Harlem 2." However, Touch touches Dead Prez freshly on the unifying jam "Touch One Touch All" and provides a hype canvas for retro rhymes from Biz Markie and Doug E. Fresh on "Out of Sight."
