I am in love with this handy little thing. The removable plates are ridiculously easy to clean, but I do very strongly recommend that you hand wash only. In my experience with things like this, even if they say they are dishwasher safe the harsh dishwasher detergents seem to be murder on the nonstick finish. There's really no need for the dishwasher anyway. The plates are small enough to be easily washed in even a fairly small sink. The nonstick finish works well enough that they really don't need much more than a wipe and a rinse anyway. It heats up pretty quickly and makes an excellent grilled cheese or tuna melt using the grill plates with larger sized slices of homemade bread. I wouldn't recommend cooking something like burgers in this because there is no drainage and the grill bumps are minimal, just enough to give you the grill marks. For basically anything bread or waffle related, though, it's great. Highly recommend.
