Wish coffee was cheaperThis was easy to set and easy to use and the coffee is outstanding! One of my best purchases.Absolutely luscious coffee!! For daily use too much wasteWhile hiking in Europe I became a fan of Nespresso machines, which are far more prevalent there than in the United States. I purchased the Vertuo system during a great sale, but failed to do my homework on the change in pod design. The Veruo uses a new proprietary pod design, which works well, but is way, way too expensive. Costs may eventually go down, but right now you can expect to pay at least a dollar for every cup. Cheaper than your local coffee shop, but a good deal more than I normally spend for quality coffee at home. Given the cost of pods the machine pretty much sits unused except for an emergency cup when time is short or guests are over for dinner. One more device to take up counter space in the kitchen or in a pantry. I would not have purchased when I did if I had known the long-term expense. Maybe in a few years there will be alternate suppliers for pods and costs will come down. My advice is to wait for that moment.Good coffee my problem is in the morning if I go the water holder at night more then s cup I find my counter soaked in water. I have returned and got another one same problem. Don't know if others have similar issuesGot this on the Prime Days promotion, I was looking for just the Acroccino frother and saw for a few dollars more I could get 50 pods and the Nespresso Machine so why not.The Acroccino is a frother that works great, perfect milk froth every time, only down side is the effort to clean it. Compared to doing the steam milk you can walk away and come back in 2 minutes and it is done, and you will never get the milk froth as nice as the Acroccino in the time the Acroccino makes the hands off froth. 5 stars for the Acroccino.The Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Maker does makes excellent coffee with great coffee creama, some pods are for a shot of espresso others for a full cup of coffee, some are combined with milk for that huge latte or cappuccino. You can get a very tasty espresso and with the froth from Acroccino you have a cappuccino that is equal to the local coffee shop.The downside to the coffee maker is this, you can only get the pods from Nespresso, expect to pay about a buck per pod. Also the coffee maker does not do a rinse, so you have the left overs from the previous coffee selection, kinda gross. You can cycle the machine yourself with no pod, but only sometimes. Sometimes the machine will refuse to work, and nothing you can do will get the machine going until you do a factory reset. So the convenience you are relying on is not reliable. Going off to work and the darn thing would not work, of course I did not have the time to fiddle with it. When I got back home from work it took me about 15 minutes to get the thing working again, holding down two buttons at the same time, pressing down three times then hitting another button. I do not know if I will use this after the pods I got from the initial offer run out. I do manually rinse this at the end of each brew.I did the math on this and found that it is less expensive to purchase the frother and then an automatic espresso machine like the Krupps. You can then get the beans and reduce your cost per cup by half.Makes rich, fantastic coffee. This is a good, economical packaging of this product. My sister's love theirs!!!!Purchased as a gift. Friends love it and the coffee tastes really great compared to the kurig pods.
